well as of today jackie and i are on a 3-week long “break”

my guess is that this break will turn into a permanent “break-up”

what he wants: not a relationship (it’s too restricting)

what i definitely definitely want: for him to make up his mind. but i don’t know if i’ll be there when he does.

hello to eating alone

I seem to have been doing this a lot lately this year in college. Everyone seems so busy and schedules conflict, or I just don’t want to bother asking everyone to come to lunch with me only to be rejected by several different people through text, so it’s hard to find people to eat with. I guess I’ve been finding myself eating alone at the dining hall or if I don’t want to feel so alone I’ll take my meal to go and eat in my room… Kind of depressing either way, though I did get to do some nice people watching while eating at Hoch today.

maintenant je veux parler de mon petit copain… je connais pas qu’est-ce qui c’est passé, mais… selon moi… tous dans notre rapport est… bizarre et je sais pas qu’est-ce que je devrais faire… T~T. je suis toujours triste… simplement en voyant Jackie… ou en parlant avec lui… je devien mal au coeur… peut-être je s’ennuie.

tout ça me prend la tête…

mais je sais pas s’il vaut la peine.

hello to pre-Korea adventures in San Diego

I’m pretty excited. Not only for my upcoming trip to South Korea (I leave on the 8th!), but also for this Sunday which is when I get to see my boy again after not seeing him for–what…a month and a half? OK so that’s not exactly that long of a time to be away from each other, but when you’re used to seeing your man everyday on campus or when you wake up or whatever going for a month apart seems like an awfully long period of time. _smiles_

So between the 5th and the 8th of July I’ll be with Jackie in San Diego…doing…I have no idea. People/the internet have suggested going to Balboa Park (though if we go I might demand we go for a picnic) or checking out the various museums. Well I think I’ll be happy with whatever we end up doing. My priorities aren’t exactly to go sight-seeing after all.

je connais pas ce qe je veux dire…mais,uhhh.alors ce nuit…soudainement en parlant avec mon petit copain sur internet j’ai le vague à l’âme…je sais pas s’il c’était quelque chose qu’il m’a dit ou s’il simplement quelque chose d’arbitraire qui m’a fait mal comme ça,je ne sais que je n’était pas dans mon assiette…peut-être je me sens comme ça parce qu’il a pas fait gaffe à moi?bien que je sache que demain je m’en tirerai…quand même je m’inquiete, « qu’est-ce qu’il a pensé de mon silence et de ma mine triste ? »

je vais passer une nuit blanche.

hello to Ted Leo & the Pharmacists

The 21st was Justin’s 21st birthday, so to celebrate I bought us tickets to a Ted Leo & the Pharmacists concert showing in Hoboken, NJ last night. It was a concert unlike any of the others I had been to before mostly because their music and age appeals to a different crowd from other bands, say, Epik High and Sum 41. Instead of seeing mosh pits or knowing you could remain upright even if you lifted your feet off the ground because your body was being held up by the other bodies around you we saw young-old adults (maybe late 20′s to early 40′s?) swaying and bopping their heads to Ted Leo’s quick strums. There was nothing desperate, nothing raging or wild about it. It was nice. It was mellow.

Justin enjoyed it as far as I could tell. His face really lit up when the band started playing “Me and Mia.” He always used to play that song when he drove us around in his little Mazda Miata… Ah memories.

The one drawback of this concert was that Ted Leo was sick; his poor voice was so hoarse he could barely cough out the lyrics.

We left early before the crowd. I was satisfied. I think he was too.

Eh. Today my Gov school friends and I were supposed to have a gathering at 에코누래방 (Echo Music Studio) in Edison, NJ (2090 RT-27, Edison, NJ 08817) yet two of the five people ended up bailing for various reasons leaving Celia, Rory, and me to find something else to do since, although Echo seems to be a REALLY nice place for karaoke, it’s a little pricey. I really wish we could have sang…but oh well. Anyway what we did end up doing was wandering around Celia’s town and going to rent I <3 Huckabees from a DVD rental place while Rory tried to explain to me the confusing (but apparently simple so says Rory) mind of the college boy, or more particularly the mind of a college boy from South Korea who he doesn’t know at all except through things I’ve ranted about to him and Celia. _sigh_

On a side note, I figured out what his message 17171771 meant and well, let’s just say that I wasn’t too surprised to find out what it meant. _shakes head_ I haven’t the faintest idea of what to do about that boy.

So, yes. Anyway in summation, at 6PM EST I drove 25 minutes to Edison, pulled up to Echo, left Echo for Highland Park, chatted with friends, ranted about boys, watched I <3 Huckabees, fell asleep during I <3 Huckabees, woke up with carpet imprinted on my cheek, finished watching I <3 Huckabees, gave hugs, drove back to Echo to pick up my mom’s car, gave more hugs, and drove home.

For whatever reason I seem to have forgotten to talk about my general summer activities (by general I mean the not exciting stuff…my everyday schedule).

So, since I made the unfortunate but inevitable decision to stay home for the summer, I’ve been taking summer classes at NYU and the Japan Society. I’m currently enrolled in Political Theory (@NYU) and Japanese Language (@Japan Society–big surprise I know) and both of these classes have been pretty dull. According to my Japanese TA Tajima-san, I’m the best student in the class and am the only person who gets 100% on her homework assignments. Not as if that’s a particularly difficult task since the homework is only like 2 pages long and takes maybe 5 minutes (tops) to complete.

Meh.

Political Theory on the other hand…well first let’s just say that Political Theory is essentially a class on the Philosophy of Politics and as far as I’m concerned, that’s like taking two boring subjects and putting them together to make an infinitely less interesting course. Not to mention that my professor is crazy and incoherent and talks way too quickly in his French African accent. His lectures are basically like stream of consciousness about Aristotle, Machiavelli, Hobbes, Locke, and now Rousseau and Marx. I’m happy that there’s only a week left, though that does mean I need to finish my paper and complete a take-home final exam. UGH.

I’ve been trying to organize my life better and iCal has been a big, colorful help. Though I guess I wish I had more going on to fill it up.

I feel kind of strange right now…I guess it’s just a weird mood. Maybe the weather or something.

So, I just found out today that VAMPS (a two-member j-rock group comprised of L’Arc~en~Ciel’s Hyde and fellow j-rocker K.A.Z) is touring America this summer and I WON’T BE ABLE TO GO! UGH.

Even so I’m not going to be selfish and not tell you all about the tour…BE HAPPY!

Their tour will begin on July 11th in NYC at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza (just like Epik High!!! I realize that I still need to blog about that concert…whoops)
